John has had the opportunity to play piano in shows or tours with well-know artists such as Dizzy Gillespie, Eddie Fisher, Donald O'Connor, The Pointer Sisters, Aretha Franklin, Kenny Loggins, et al, and at private venues with such greats as Gregory Porter, Alan Cummings, Nona Hendrix, Jon Bon Jovi, Dave Matthews and Lenny Kravitz.

 

John was musical director for Broadway shows at Santa Barbara-area professional and community theatre companies, colleges, high schools and junior high schools for more than 12 years. He directed the Jazz Ensemble at Westmont College, where he was adjunct professor from 2006 until 2020. John  is on adjunct faculty at Santa Barbara City College, where he teaches piano classes and accompanies vocal techniques classes and recitals.  He regularly plays solo piano and with groups at local hotels, and for weddings, funerals, private and public events.
